Would the three laws of robotics be practical in actual robots?

Well the incident where the three laws had to be relaxed in order for the humans to be able to work in a radioactive field without the robots interfering and preventing them for inadvertently harming themselves by deliberate radiation exposure does come to mind rather quickly.......

I think the three laws would be able to work in a real life situation. It covers most of what robots should or should not do. Im sure there would be some unforseen situations in which there would be a need to tweak the laws or the wording of the laws.
