Hereís the basic plot:

Robots invade an underground city. They have one human leader among them that is in charge of the operation. They are on a mission to capture and destroy an alien city (for details that someone else needs to decide). Anyway the robots have trouble killing the Martians because they exhibit human characteristics. During the fighting the human leader gets killed by friendly fire on accident. This causes the robots to lose their minds and destroy the aliens and afterward proceed to destroy the humans on the planet.

Thatís the basic plot, some things need to be detailed but thatís something to get the ball rolling.

How can a robot lose its mind? Did some electric jolt affect their positronic brains and short-circuit key portions of their programming (such as the part with the three laws hardwired into them)?

could it be that by killing a human the robots develope some kind of complex that eats away at the three laws of robotics? Could it desensitize the robots and allow them to kill humans with out the hinderings of the first law?

What if the three laws stayed intact, but the definitions of the terms within the laws could change? Are the robots just programmed with the tree laws, or is there more to it than that? I think I would like to see one robot snap, and then spread it to the others, like a virus...but then why would just that one robot be affected?...maybe he was the one who accidentally shot the human...hmmm

The human leader is the leader of the robot army? It would be interesting if the aliens came from the ocean and had live there for years like the movie the Abyiss. But it would be hard to exibit human characteristics if they came from the ocean
